As I write this newsletter I'm excited to know that this will be the last one I write by myself! In this news letter I'll share about the first quarter of the year and after this one Sonia (my now wife) and I will continue to share about what God is doing through us here for at Ywam Trentino.

Pastorals

This new years started off with a bang! A journey with a close friend of mine (Tom) that took us to a few nations in the matter of just ten days. One thing is for sure, when I gave my full yes to Jesus, surrendering to His will in my life and following Him anywhere, my life has been anything but boring haha. In mid January, directly after having my trial dinner for the wedding that was coming up in April, Tom and I took off on what we call in YWAM: Pastoral visits. We left traveling to two nations, one in the Middle East and also to Thailand! In this we checked on our DTS mission teams which were serving through various ministries.

Lives were being changed. We got to see the fruit of what God is doing in so many people first hand! We saw how students and staff, who had been seeking God for the last three months, now had an oppertunity to practice what they've been learning during the lecture phase here in Italy. These teams were seeing people hear about God for the first time, giving their lives to Him. Prayers that have been prayed for years by local believers got answered and by God's grace they got to see the fruit! I was so encouraged to go back to nations where I have served God in the past and to see these teams boldly sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I got to reconnect with people who I met before now believing and following God! I'm so grateful and hope that you're encouraged to hear that there are many young people still on fire for God and willing to risk many comforts to GO and make disciples of all the nations.

Coming back...

I was welcomed by a new school that had started while I was on the trip. We as a base had started a school called a Discipleship Bible School (DBS for short) where the students read the whole Bible in just 3 months! Alongside reading the Bible they study and have speakers coming in and teaching lectures on the Bible. This was the second time we ran this school and I'm so excited to see how much hunger for the Word of God comes during this time! The students and staff are so on fire to read and seek the truth! That is found in the Bible.

As this was all going on!

I was of course preparing for the biggest day of my life up until this point, my wedding! Thank you all for the encouragements and prayers while Sonia and I were prepping for the big day. This was a journey for sure in itself. We were dealing with the Italian and Canadian government which involved lots of emails, calls, and trips to different cities to make sure we could have every document needed to be legally married in Italy. During the process I can honestly say It was very humbling, but it brought me to a greater dependance on God. I'm so encouraged to have friends here that have been married internationally that helped out and for all the prayers during this season. Praise God all went well!

As we go, we grow

During the DTS, DBS and prepping the wedding Sonia and I have been praying about our future together. What is God calling us to? What new thing is He starting as He brings us together? We believe also God has a specific calling for our marriage and we want to follow Him! As we've been seeking Him, we feel He has been speaking...and with that we'll post another news letter soon with what we feel we've been hearing :)

Thank you all for the support during these last six years in ministry as a single man!! It's been amazing and now as a married man I believe God has even better things in store! We're excited to share all the stories along the way with you.
