SO MUCH has happened since we last updated you all! So if you'd like more weekly/Bi-weekly updates, we regularly do them on our WhatsApp Prayer group that you can join in here: https://chat.whatsapp.com/IBbFv320332EZsWZLiHAOU.
We spent the summer planning the DTS and also building the staff team! In August we started our staff training which was a very important time to come together and pray for the upcoming season. We had lots of hours at the base prepping, doing administration work and getting vision for what God was going to do in the new school!

But more than that we did some practical things like serving together in something, we as YWAM Trentino run, called "Kingdom Camp", A one week missions camp. We also went to YWAM Hurlach (Germany) to a DTS staff and leaders gathering with about 80 DTS staff from bases all around Europe! Coming together to be equipped, challenged and encouraged in the mission. During this time there were preachings/teachings at the conference that really hit us. The main theme was about "self protection", how we often try to protect ourselves instead of letting God protect us.

What does this look like?
Being selfish with time
Defensive over resources
Not allowing people to fully know us
Not allowing God to speak into all area of our lives
Not inviting people into our home because of inconvenience or insecurities
We long to be people that God trusts with small and also big things. So we don't want to have our walls up but we desire to allow God to have full access to our lives everyday!

Practically we were looking for housing for a couple DTS students and we felt challenged to think about opening our house to host a married couple. Something we wanted to protect (our home) we felt challenged to open up for God to use. We bought a bed and were ready to host these students in our house with us, but all of a sudden, we found housing two days before the DTS! It was encouraging to see the work God had been doing in our hearts, He is trustworthy.

As all of this was happening we got an offer to move into a new house, as we shared in our last news letter. We moved forward in faith and we really saw how God opened every door! We needed €4500 for the deposit and the FIRST person we asked to invest lent us the money! This was a huge answer to prayer and now we've been enjoying our new home for a little over a month. We've been able to host so many more people here as the house is bigger and also for us it's been soo restful. Overall it's been very fun to make this our home! So if you're looking for a room in Italy we have a space for you! :)
Trailblazer DTS 2025-2026

Now, we're currently staffing the Trailblazer DTS and it's been a fun journey! We have 16 students with us from 10 different nations!
The theme we felt for this school comes from Psalm 24v7
Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.

We want to make way for the King of Glory to come here in Italy and in nations!
We've been learning about hearing God's voice, discipleship, Jesus & the work of the cross, Father heart of God and now we've finished lectures this last week on the Holy Spirit! We desire to see people TRANSFORMED, not just behavioural change. Transformation only comes from the work of the Holy Spirit in everyone’s life and it's been so encouraging to see these students and us as a staff team being molded more into God's likeness.
That's a wrap! Thanks so much for reading and supporting us along the way in this journey of missions God has called us to! We're forever grateful!
-Blessings, Lucas & Sonia
